Depois de ler (e adorar) a série Motherhood Around The World, da Joanna Goddard, fiquei cheia de vontade de fazer um post do mesmo estilo e contar-vos como é ser mãe na Coreia do Sul. Como não tenho tempo nem para respirar...em vez de fazer um post grande decidi dividi-lo em pequenos posts rápidos que vou publicando por aqui semanalmente. Parece-vos bem? Ora, aqui fica o primeiro.
::::::::::::::: Qualidade do Ar :::::::::::::::
Quando via imagens da Ásia pensava que os dias eram sempre cinzentos.
Na Coreia acontece o oposto. Há sol e uma luz muito intensa o ano inteiro mas a poluição é tanta que é raro conseguir ver-se o céu azul, as nuvens e até mesmo as montanhas que estão por toda a cidade. Há "smog" e os ventos trazem da China o "yellow dust" e o "microdust". É horrivel. Nós não estamos habituados a este tipo de poluição em Portugal e tive que desinstalar do telemóvel a aplicação "Seoul Air Pollution" porque estava a dar comigo em louca! Felizmente vamos viver aqui pouco tempo porque não me deixa nada tranquila saber que a nossa bebé está a crescer num sítio em que o ar que se respira é assim, venenoso. Pobres pulmões.

After reading (and loving) the series Motherhood Around The World, by Joanna Goddard, I wanted to post something with that same style about how it is to be a Mom in South Korea.
I don't have much time on my hands... so, instead of writing one long post I'll divide it in a few shorter posts that I'll be publishing here every week. Does it sound cool? Here is the first one!

Before moving here, when I saw images of Asia it looked like the skies were always gray.
That doesn't happen in South Korea. It's always sunny and the light is very bright but the pollution is so bad that you can't see the blue skies, the clouds or even the mountains that are all over the city. In a city like Seoul there is "smog" and the winds from China bring the "yellow dust" and the "microdust". It's horrible. We're not used to this kind of pollution in Portugal. I had to uninstall the app "Seoul Air Pollution" because this was driving me crazy and there's really nothing I can do to change it. Fortunately we're just living here for a few years because I hate to know that my baby girl is growing in a place where the air we breathe is poisonous. Poor baby lungs!
