Quando era criança os meus pais faziam sessões de cinema com amigos. Eu ficava sempre a dormitar no colo de alguém e foi numa dessas sessões que conheci Hitchcock. Lembro-me perfeitamente da "Janela Indiscreta" e que depois de ver o filme quiz dormir na varanda, passei a sonhar com poder ter uma cesta para baixar o cão ao jardim e acima de tudo queria um cão que coubesse numa cesta. Muitos anos mais tarde a Sic Mulher passou a série "The Alfred Hitchcock Hour" e fiquei vidrada com aquelas introduções do Sr. Alfred:

I perfectly remember "Rear Window" and how after seeing the movie I wanted to sleep out on the porch, how I started to dream about having a basket to lower the dog to the garden and most of all how I wanted a dog that would fit in a basket. Many years later a portuguese tv channel came up with "The Alfred Hitchcock Hour" and I was amazed by Mr. Alfred Hitchcock indroducing them:

Agora com o filme "Hitchcock" passei a conhecer a pessoa difícil que Hitchcock era e acima de tudo fiquei a conhecer Alma. O filme presta homenagem à mulher que seguiu lado a lado com Hitchcock de forma invisivel. Percebemos que sem ela o genio de Hitchcock nunca se teria tornando a lenda que se tornou. Senti uma afinidade louca pela Sra Alma Hitchcock.
Entretanto o Hugo mostrou este discurso de agradecimento de Hitchcock:
Now with the film "Hitchcock" I discovered Hitchcock's bad temper and most important of all I disovered Alma. The film pays tribute to the woman who walked Hitchcock through success and that was always there...invisible. We realize that without Alma the genius of Hitchcock would never have become the legend he became. I immediately felt a mad affinity for Mrs Alma Hitchcock.
After that Hugo showed Hitchcock's AFI speech:
