No segundo dia decidimos subir à montanha oposta ao Mont Blanc o chamado Monte Brevent.
Existe um teleférico para o Brevent cuja saída é no centro de Châmonix. Este teleférico tem dois níveis:
- até ao Plan praz (onde existe um café e uma esplanada)
- até ao topo (com uma vista magnífica)

On the second day we decided to climb a mountain on the opposite site of the Mont Blanc, the called Brevent.
There is a cable car to the Brevent whose, you get there at the center of Chamonix. This cable car lift has two levels:
- up to Plan praz (where there is a terrace and a coffee shop)
- and the top (with a magnificent view)

Vale a pena a subida até ao topo (bilhete até ao topo ida e volta 25 euros).
É possivel fazer o caminho a pé por trilhos sem qualquer tipo de risco nesta altura do ano e com uma vista lindíssima do Monte Branco.
No entanto se são novos nestas coisas do montanhismo convem comprar o bilhete de ida e volta, porque a qualquer momento podem voltar para baixo sem esforço físico e na tranquilidade do teleférico. É difícil calcular o tempo de ida e volta numa caminhada destas, a menos que já se conheça bem o Brevent. O esforço físico também não deve ser desprezado, porque estamos a muitos metros de altitude.
Para além disso não abusem na subida do Brevent, porque ao chegar ao topo somos surpreendidos por um lago num pequeno vale ao qual é irresistível descer.

It's worth the climb to the top (ticket to the top with return costs 25 euros).
It is possible to get to the top by foot on trails without any risk (at this time of year) and with a beautiful view over the Mont Blanc.
However, if you are new at hiking you better get the ticket for the cable car (to the top with return). That way at any moment you can come back down without physical effort. It is difficult to calculate the time you'll need for such climb, unless you already know well the Brevent. Also physical exertion should not be overlooked because we are several feet in altitude.
Do not abuse on physical effort when climbing Brevent because when you reach the top you're surprised by a lake down at a small valley where is irresistible do go.

Outra sugestão, se gostam de parapente ou gostavam de experimentar há um centro de salto mesmo na entrada da bilheteira para o teleférico do Brevent em Chamonix.
Os saltos são feitos do ponto intermédio de subida, Plan praz. A vista é magnífica e segundo quem fez o salto e aterrou num parque de relva em chamonix onde todos os parapentes aterram:

Another suggestion if you like paragliding there is a center of paragliding at the ticket entrance for the cable car Brevent.
The jumps are made from the mid-point of the rise, Plan praz. The view is magnificent and who made the leap said:
"This was the most fabulous thing I've ever done in my life, the jump is unbelievable!"

Para que gosta de esqui, em Outubro não estão abertas as pistas. A partir de Dezembro já é possível esquiar mas no Brevent mas, só existe uma pista verde, o grau de dificuldade é grande nesta descida. Em meados de Fevereiro o Brevent recebe a famosa competição "Red Bull Extreme Skiing".

For the ones who enjoy skiing in October the Brvent tracks are not open. Around December is already possible to ski at the Brevent but there is only one green trail, the degree of difficulty is great in this dowhill. In mid-February Brevent receives the famous competition "Red Bull Extreme Skiing."
